Fort Worth Satellite Center

Fort Worth has a small but dedicated group of Chinmaya Mission members. The main organizers of the satellite center here are Dr. Subhash Joshi, Mrs. Sushama Joshi, Mrs. Meena Acharya, and Dr. Subramaniam Boyareddigari from Mineral Wells.

Balavihar

Fort Worth has a Balavihar group of about 12 children who meet every Sunday during the school year from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. So far the students have covered Chapter 12 of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, learning to recite the slokas as well as understand their meaning. One of the fun activities for the kids was delivering speeches on applying Lord Krishna's teachings in daily life. The children celebrated KrishnaJanmashtami this year with a cultural program which included two plays on Lord Krishna’s Bala Lila, songs, dances and recitation of slokas.

Our Resident Acharya, Br. Uddhava Chaitanya visits the Balavihar in Fort Worth once a month.

Please contact Mrs. Sushama Joshi at 817-294-4580 for further details regarding the Balavihar.

Other Activities

In addition to conducting Balavihar, Br. Uddhava Chaitanya has been conducting monthly jnana Yajnas in Fort Worth.   So far the discourses have covered Hanuman Chalisa and Bhaja Govindam.  Earlier this year Swamiji has started Gita Jnana Yajnas covering one chapter of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita each month.
